Otto possesses a profound passion for design-driven architecture, advocating for the meticulous and thoughtful creation of spaces. Prior to establishing Studio OTTO, he founded LEAD Studios, where he successfully spearheaded a ground-up company responsible for over 150 brownstone, townhouse, apartment, and other residential renovations as well as several commercial and hospitality projects over a nine-year span. His career started in high-end metal fabrication with Milgo Bufkin, during which he acquired valuable experience in precisely collaborating with materials to craft sculptures, facades, and intricate large-scale installations. Otto collaborated on projects with esteemed clients such as SHoP, Zaha Hadid, SOM, KPF, Steven Holl, Frosty Meyers, Robert Indiana, and numerous other artists, architects, and designers. After several years of experience in metal fabrication, Otto joined Ohlhausen DuBois Architects, where he contributed to large-scale high-end residential and institutional projects, including those for NYU and The New School.

Otto, a graduate of Pratt Institute’s School of Architecture, is committed to fostering the next generation of architects. He has been teaching at his alma mater since 2007 and actively participates in the school’s curriculum development.
